Isager
Isager Alpaca 3 - 100
ISAGER ALPACA 3 is a "tubular spun" yarn that contains 50% wool and 50% alpaca. It is the same quality as Alpaca 2 but feels completely different because it is so airy and that is because it is "tubular spun". If you knit with 1 strand of Alpaca 3, it becomes a wonderful light sweater even though the yarn is thick. The yarn works best if knitted on thick needles. Alpaca 3 is knitted on needle 5 to get firm edges, but is otherwise best on needle 6 or 7mm.
I had never knitted with a tubular spun yarn before but this becomes so soft and beautiful. We have a Novice cardigan in the store that is knitted with 1 strand Alpaca 3 together with 1 strand Soft Silk Mohair. It becomes like a soft cloud!

Washing instructions
Wool should be hand washed unless you have a washing machine with a very gentle wool program that can wash in cold water. Use an approved wool detergent. Maintain the same temperature throughout the washing and rinsing process and finally do not wash above 28 degrees. The knitted garment can advantageously be gently spun after washing. Place the garment in a laundry bag or a pillowcase. After spinning, lay the garment out on, for example, towels to dry.
It is not necessary to wash a wool garment so often. Usually, it is enough to hang the garment up for airing. Cotton yarn and blended yarn with linen and bamboo tolerate higher washing temperatures, but we recommend the same washing as for wool yarn.
Storage
Remember to store yarn and knitting in plastic bags or tightly woven cotton bags or in a plastic box with a lid. This is because Isager yarn is not treated for moths, as the agents used are not without side effects for allergy sufferers and only last until the first wash.
