ISAGER ALPACA 2 is a two-ply yarn containing 50% wool and 50% alpaca. It is a very soft yarn, making it especially suitable for baby clothes. Knitting with a single strand of Alpaca 2 can, for example, produce a delicate and beautiful cardigan. It is worth knowing that Alpaca 2 is best suited to garments that are not exposed to much wear and tear. A soft yarn will never be as strong as yarn spun more tightly. On the other hand, the yarn is very lovely for scarves and when knitted together with other qualities:

I have knitted Alpaca 2 together with Isager Soft Silk, and the result is magically beautiful and soft.

Care instructions

Wool should be hand-washed unless you have a washing machine with a very gentle wool cycle that washes in cold water. Use an approved wool detergent. Keep the same temperature throughout the washing and rinsing process, and never wash above 28 degrees. After washing, the knitted garment can be gently spun. Place the garment in a laundry bag or pillowcase. After spinning, lay the garment out on, for example, towels to dry.

It is not necessary to wash a wool garment very often. Usually, it is enough to hang the garment up to air. Cotton yarn and yarn blends containing linen and bamboo can withstand higher washing temperatures, but we recommend washing them in the same way as wool yarn.

Storage

Remember to store yarn and knitted items in plastic bags, tightly woven cotton bags, or a plastic box with a lid. This is because Isager yarns are not moth-treated, as the available treatments are not free from side effects for allergy sufferers and, in addition, only last until the first wash.
