ISAGER ALPACA 2 is a two-thread yarn that contains 50% wool and 50% alpaca. It is characterized by its softness, and it is very suitable for baby clothes. Knitted alone, it is beautiful in a cardigan, but you should be aware that it is best suited for models that are not exposed to a lot of wear. A soft yarn will never be as strong as a yarn spun in a harder quality and maybe even spun tighter. However, the yarn is very nice for scarves and when knitted together with other qualities:

STICK STRENGTH

Alpaca 2: knit 3 = 26 sts / 30 rounds
Alpaca 2 + Alpaca 1: knit 3 = 24 sts / 28 rounds
Alpaca 2 + Alpaca 2: needles 3.5 = 20 m / 26 rounds
Alpaca 2 + Silk Mohair: sticka 4 = 18 m / 24 p

SPECIFICATIONS

    50% alpaca and 50% wool
    Delivered in skeins of 50 grams/250 m
The yarn is spun and dyed in Peru.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS

Wool is washed by hand, unless you have a washing machine with a very gentle wool program that can be washed in cold water. To avoid warping in the finished model, only a little soap is used. Use an approved wool detergent. Keep the same temperature throughout the washing and rinsing process and finally do not wash above 28 degrees. The knitted model can advantageously be spun easily after washing. Place the model in a laundry bag or pillowcase. After the centrifugation, the model is laid out to dry on towels.

It is not necessary to wash a wool model often. It is often enough to hang it up for ventilation in damp weather. Cotton yarn and mixed yarn with flax and bamboo can withstand higher washing temperatures, but we recommend the same wash as the wool yarn.

STORAGE

Remember to store yarn and knitting in plastic bags or tightly woven cotton bags. A bucket or plastic container with a tight-fitting lid is also suitable.
Isager yarns are not moth-treated, as the agents available are not without side effects in relation to allergy sufferers and also only last for the first wash.
