ISAGER ALPACA 1 is a fine, thin, 100% alpaca yarn, spun with 2 threads. We use it alone, especially for scarves, but mostly in knitting with our other yarns. Any yarn is "lifted" by knitting together with Alpaca 1. Here you can also play with the colors. A thread Alpaca 1 can give an exciting color effect when it is knitted together with other colors. The thread can also tie the colors together if many different colors are knitted in one model.

STICK STRENGTH

Alpaca 1: knit 3 = 28 sts / 34 rows
Alpaca 1 + Alpaca 1: knit 3 = 26 sts / 30 rounds
Alpaca 1 + Alpaca 2: needles 3.5 = 24 sts / 28 rounds
Alpaca 1 + Silk Mohair: sticka 4 = 18 m / 24 p

Washing advice

Wool is washed by hand, unless you have a washing machine with a very gentle wool program that can be washed in cold water. To avoid wrinkling the finished knitted model, only a little soap is used. Use an approved wool detergent. Keep the same temperature throughout the washing and rinsing process and finally do not wash above 28 degrees. The knitted model can advantageously be spun easily after washing. Place the model in a laundry bag or pillow case. After the centrifugation, the model is laid out to dry on towels.

It is not necessary to wash a wool model often. It is often enough to hang it up for ventilation in damp weather. Cotton yarn and mixed yarn with flax and bamboo can withstand higher washing temperatures, but we recommend the same wash as the wool yarn.
Storage

Remember to store yarn and knitting in plastic bags or tightly woven cotton bags. A bucket or plastic container with a tight-fitting lid is also suitable.
Isager yarns are not moth-treated, as the agents available are not without side effects in relation to allergy sufferers and also only last for the first wash.
